An English Regency Welsh heather slate, aubergine hued, almost black bullseye chimneypiece. The moulded shelf rests above a reeded frieze which is centred by a plain rectangluar panel flanked by bullseye endblocks above reeded, panelled jambs supported on sturdy footblocks. English, circa 1830.
