A very large 20th century bronze fountain. Water spouts from the mouths of four grotesque masques, mounted at the top on a large gadrooned urn, and tumbles down into a wide bowl. From there it falls out of the mouths of twelve lion mask heads and down into a basin. The great bowl is held aloft by four elegant classical female figures with the names MERANIE, LALOIRE, LASAONE & VERONIC carved into the base of each figure. Two of these names may be referring to the French rivers the Saone and the Loire.
