A set of three highly decorative brass Rococo style fire tools consisting of a pair of tongs, a poker and a shovel each with elaborately scrolled handles. The arms of tongs,with a central embossed medallion and exhuberant scroll work, terminate with finely shaped acanthus claws and the spade of the shovel is enhanced with a pierced foliate design. English, circa 1880.
