An impressive large pair of Arts & Crafts Reformed Gothic burnished steel andirons from the idealistic movement in the Victorian era. Superbly engineered in the Gothic Reformed manner, these feature three graduated " Wedding Cake " Spires decorated with ascending Puginesque floral detail and applied with an inscribed Celtic floral cartouche, the faceted champfered rings on each over the integral stands which house Triple Dolphin Heraldic Shields, English late 19th century.
