A decorative antique carved and painted wood pediment, cornice or ornamental hanging, in the Baroque style, set within an ebonised carved and pierced scrollwork frame, with a central carved a gilded sunburst flanked by two phoenix, the mythical bird that rose from the ashes thus symbolising renewal.
